Type A Medicated Article

AVATEC®

Avatec® is a Type A Medicated Article for the prevention of coccidiosis in poultry caused by Eimeria tenella, E. necatrix, E. acervulina, E. brunetti, E. mivati, E. maxima, E. meleagrimitis, E. gallopavonis, E. adenoeides and E. legionensis.

  • The only divalent ionophore, with minimal cross-resistance to other agents1
  • Highly effective, broad spectrum and kills at the first stage of development
  • Provides year-round (nonseasonal) coccidiosis protection
  • No depression of feed or water intake2
  • Effective during heat-stress conditions3
  • Critical component of coccidiosis rotation programs

    • For the prevention of coccidiosis in broiler chickens, growing turkeys and chukar partridges
    • Prevents coccidiosis caused by Eimeria tenella, E. necatrix, E. acervulina, E. brunetti, E. mivati, E. maxima, E. meleagrimitis, E. gallopavonis, E. adenoeides and E. legionensis
  • FDA Status

    • Category I drug and does not require a feedmill license for manufacture of medicated feeds
    • Approved for use in combination with Albac® and BMD®*

    Storage and Packaging:

    • Store in a protected location, avoid excessive heat and keep package closed to avoid contamination
    • Avatec is packaged in a 50-pound, multiwall paper bag with protective barrier ply

    *Reference Title 21 Code of Federal Regulations 558.311 for species-specific combination clearances.
    • Expiration period is 36 months from the date of manufacture (package indicates expiration date)
    • Do not allow horses or other equines access to feed containing lasalocid as ingestion may be fatal
    • No withdrawal is required prior to slaughter

188体育平台 IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION:  Do not use BOVATEC in calves to be processed for veal.  Do not allow horses or other equines access to feeds containing lasalocid, as ingestion may be fatal.  Feeding undiluted or mixing errors resulting in excessive concentrations of lasalocid could be fatal to cattle and sheep.
