Poulvac Maternavac® IBD-Reo

Bursal Disease-Reovirus Vaccine, Standard and Variant, Killed Virus

Poulvac Maternavac® IBD-Reo vaccine is recommended for the revaccination of healthy chickens as an aid in the prevention of the signs and lesions associated with infectious bursal disease caused by standard and variant strains and avian reovirus infections which cause malabsorption syndrome. Progeny of vaccinates are aided in the prevention of signs and lesions associated with infectious bursal disease and reovirus disease via maternal antibodies.

  • Supplied in 1,000 dose units

    Intramuscular or Subcutaneous Injection Administration:

    1. Inject 0.5 mL (0.5 cc) intramuscularly or subcutaneously, in the lower neck region, using aseptic technique.
    2. Vaccinate only healthy birds.
    3. For primed birds, a single dose between 16 and 22 weeks (approximately 4 weeks prior to lay) is indicated.

    • For Veterinary use only. 
    • Contains gentamicin and amphotericin B added as preservatives.

    Storage and Handling: 

    • Store in the dark at 36° – 45°F (2° – 7°C).
    • Do not freeze.
    • Warm to 72°F (22°C) and shake well before using.
    • Use entire contents when first opened.
    • Burn vaccine and all unused contents.


IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

  • In case of accidental human injection seek immediate medical attention.
  • Do not vaccinate within 42 days before slaughter.
